My dear Seekrit Santa Letter

Dear author,

Thanks so much for writing for me! I'm excited to participate to this exchange and to get to read your fic for me, and I hope that you have fun writing for me too! I provided a few prompts for any of my ships, but they're suggestions only, if you want to write something else that you think I would enjoy, that would be great too! I ask you to not include my do-not-wants though.


First off here are my do not wants:
✖bad/unhappy/depressing /hopeless ending
✖permanent death of requested characters (stressing the 'permanent' part as I love presumed death & reunion trope, and also the temporary death with happy ending trope)
✖v-shaped threesome, pre-slash or UST that doesn't get resolved/slash, Gen
✖First person POV
✖Fraser/RayK without RayV

* Not really a DNW, but I'm not all that interested to the trope where both the characters have been mutually pining all along and then there's the happy ending with reveal of their mutual feelings. I'm OK if one of them is pining, but I'd prefer other variations to the initial scenario, some examples are: a character pining the other in denial; both of them are in denial; one of them is in love all along, the other one falls in love later, only after a particular life-changing event; one of them thinks to be pining in secret, but in truth the other is aware all along about his friend's real feelings, and so on. About the last example, a possible prompt: what if RayV left Chicago due to his unrequited feelings for Fraser, and Fraser is aware? What if Fraser falls in love with Ray, or becomes aware of his feelings, only when they reunite with each other?



I love all the due South characters, main and recurring, however the one I'm the most fond of is RayV. ♥ I'd love a Vecchio-centric fic, but I’m also OK if the focus is on all the characters of my requested ship equally, and I’d like if there is romance in the story. Serious fic, magical realism, canon-divergences/what-ifs, and so on are all optional but totally welcome!

Fix-its are a preference of mine in this canon, the final of series made me sad concerning RayV, abandoned in Chicago/Florida with Stella while Fraser and RayK are having their adventure without him isn’t my kind of happy ending. :p Some examples of fix-its are: Vecchio never leaves when Kowalski arrives; Vecchio is together with Kowalski and Fraser when they leave for their post-CotW adventure, and so on, feel free to make up your own version of fix-it, where RayV gets his happy ending with RayK, or both Fraser and RayK. :D



Ray/Ray

I ship RayK/RayV hard, I adored Rays' rivalry over Fraser on CotW, and a possible hint for a fic would be them so absorbed in their rivalry that they don't recognize it right away when attraction and love for each other sneak in. I'm OK with a canon-divergent AU where RayK and RayV become partners or meet each other earlier in the canon, or a post-canon story where RayV doesn't leave Chicago and Fraser and RayV come back, or, any other scenario bringing them to be a couple. :)



Fraser/RayK/RayV

Fraser was adorable on CotW, when he gets RayV back and wants hard that his two Rays make friends and bond. For a fic, I'd like a scenario where a step further gets taken, like for example Fraser trying to match-make his best friends together because he loves them, maybe RayK and RayV realize what he's trying to do and suggest a threeway or no way? I'd also love a different scenario, the scenario above is just an example that I thought on the spur of the moment. :)



Some possible prompts that came to my mind are here below, feel free to use them, or mash elements of them together, or if none of them works for you or you have a different idea that you wish to explore instead, feel free to write a different plot entirely:

- Angsty or h/c with happy ending will always make me happy. Maybe something initially sad exploring their feelings, or where RayV’s life is in danger or he’s hurt and that it turns out to be fine/that causes them to bond somehow. Also, hurt RayV is my jam! The bullet he took left him with permanent damage, but he’s still a cop and they pair him with RayK?

- undercover assignment as a couple please! :D Especially if Rays (or other ship) are forced to make up with each other to not blow their cover!

- Canadian vacation together, maybe at Fraser's home? As other options I'm open with all the stuck in a cabin during a blizzard and related shippy tropes too.

- Road trip together, or sleigh trip in the Northwest Territories?

- RayK and RayV (and Fraser) accidentally soulbond during CotW, what happens after?

- RayV acquires a superpower. Maybe RayK doesn’t believe him and Fraser licks him to find what's the cause of it? Explore this (crack, adventure, heroism, freaking out, anything is good!)

- maybe RayV is in-the-closet regarding his sexuality and troubled by it, or pining and unrequited for Fraser, or other angsty reason, and RayK tries to distract him or comfort him taking him out for a drink. What happens after? Do they talk, or what if they get drunk and surprise wake up bare nude and in the same bed the morning after with no memory of how they ended up there? Or a different situation?

- RayV believes that he got just killed and is a ghost like his father, and he goes to Fraser or RayK for help, or just to complain about his new ghost-problem, explore this?

- Fraser is missing, RayV and RayK put aside their rivalry and team up to find him and bring him home.

- Presumed death story with RayV as the presumed dead. A possible prompt (but feel free to write something else too): Welsh informs Fraser that RayV got killed during his undercover assignment in Vegas, Fraser leaves to find and arrest his killer, RayK tags along of course. However, RayV isn’t dead. What happens?

- I love prison scenarios! RayK and RayV (and Fraser?) in jail! Characters interrogating them. They getting arrested and cuffed and behind the bars, sharing the cell, having to survive daily to the harassment and danger that the other inmates mean for them, becoming allies to protect each other in a fight, helping or comforting the one who got injured/beaten when they're alone in their cell, having secretly comfort sex at night in the darkness, in one's bunk! And so on, feel free to explore your take! :D

- Captivity & rescue with captive RayV and rescuer RayK (and Fraser if you want); maybe the mob or an old enemy kidnapped him to get revenge over arresting them? What if the rescue happens after the bad guys tortured (or nonconned?) RayV? What if they cut a leg to keep him from escape? I’m open to anything, as I do love both dark fic and alternatively post-captivity recovery fic, if you’d rather skip the first part to write the latter option only.

- RayV gets forced to drug addiction, there's the withdrawal ahead him but he isn't alone dealing with this, please explore this?
